Concentration brainstorming

Now that you have completed "the list", we are going to be starting on your concentration. Use your sketchbook or a separate sheet of paper to answer the following questions (preferably a sketchbook). They do not need to be in complete sentances. Refrain from discussing these while you work. We will look over the answers and artwork during C lunch (that gives you a half hour maybe a bit more)

1. What were your 3 favorite photography projects? Explain each one

2. What was your least favorite photo project? Explain:

3. If you could do any type of photography what would it be? examples: portrait, alternative process, landscape, digital, etc)

4. Is there anywhere you want to travel to for the purpose of photography?

5. Name 3 simple objects that intrigue you in terms of design.

6. Where do you find inspiration for art? for photography?

7. Is there anything in photography that you have seen that you were like "i want to learn how to do that?"

8. If you could display your work anywhere in the world, where would it be? (location and place) Be as specific as possible and explain

9. How would you incorporate mixed media in photography?

10. What are 3 things you always wanted to photograph but never had the opportunity to?

11. Have you ever done an independent series in photography? If yes, what did you like about it, how did you come up with that idea?

12. What was your favorite idea from "the list"? Not necessarily one you photographed.

13. What is your favorite format in photography? (35mm, digital, holga, tlr, double exposures, panoramas, diptychs triptychs, series etc.).

14. Do you like to be a story teller in your work? Have you ever tried?

15. Think about a story or a struggle you've had in your life, can you showcase that over a series of 12 images?

16. Do you like the idea of a storyboard in photography?

17. Have you ever seen an Alfred Hitchcock movie?

18. In terms of aesthetics, do you typically shoot with a large depth of field or a small depth of field? Why?

19. Do you have a favorite photographer? Why do you liker his / her work?

20. Look at the examples in the my book => AP students => AP Examples folder. Which concentration do you feel is the strongest? Why do you feel it stands out? Is it the idea, the rationale, the craftsmanship?

21. Look over the AP poster packets for the 2D Design section. Is there anything that is confusing? makes you worried?
